Ricardos Petrol Blue Supercharged 182 Project

I'm in the minority here as so many people have gone turbo but in my opinion the supercharger gives you all that extra power but retains the driveability feel of an N/A car. I absolutely love how it drives, it's effortless, I'll say it again it just pulls and pulls. You see the turbo cars on the...

Ricardos Petrol Blue Supercharged 182 Project

Being honest there was nothing there to show why, it was running rich top end and had more boost 2nd time round. With the timing now changed and the tighter aux belt it had changed the characteristics of the map higher up so with more fuel he could dial it in and make the most of it running...

Ricardos Petrol Blue Supercharged 182 Project

Well it's been a while since I've really had to do anything to it up until a couple of weeks ago. I decided to take the Clio down to the Surrey RR meet at the end of November 2014 just for a run out and to see it on the rollers, it had 2 power runs after which Charlie mentioned it was running...

Picked up the Petrol Blue tonight. Again another big, big thanks to @AlexW for all the work he's done on it over the last week. He's gone beyond what he originally set out to do and all in time for it to be ready to head up to EFI Parts this Sunday, much appreciated mate, really impressed...

Good luck tomorrow Alex. Would also just like to take the time to say a big thanks for all the work you're doing on the Petrol Blue. I'm so glad the cam timing's been checked before the remap at EFI next week, it just goes to show. Also really impressed with the work and how I've been contacted...

    Scott's Super Clean PH1 172 Project Thread

@Cub. I have my doubts, there's more than 1 factor in that equasion that would make that happen i.e driving style and braking etiquette for starters. Decent brake fluid, braided hoses and good track pads.... Works for me

    Aux Belt Tensioner Spring

With the supercharger setup working on more horsepower as the revs increase, I'm looking into minimising potential belt slip at high rpms. When it was mapped first time round there were signs (although not proven to be aux belt) that the power would tail off. So I was thinking of trying to...

    verniers or keep dephaser?

Regards going vernier would they work as an alternative when running 225 pistons as they don't use VVT? Set the timing up to suit using the pulleys and do away with the dephaser, maybe throw in some 197 cams too while it's apart. Been thinking about this as a next step up for more power with the...

Suspension is already on full coilovers front and rear Brakes are all done bar changing fluid to Super Blue which I have already New Michelin tyres fitted when I bought the Superleggeras. Could do with a new windscreen, Steering wheel retrim. A decent wash and wax I guess
