Yep sounds like it ! Recession FTL
Everyones feeling it i think, whent to my local Renault to collect my rear discs, there giving cars away for free no joke ! Buy a Scenic for like £19K and get a meg free !! i was like WTF
I know your all talking about 197's but my 182 does the same thing when cold.. Very hesitant to accelerate and sounds rough but when warmed up i.e a couple of bars it drives perfect... Think this problem exists in 99% of Renault Sport cars..
Yeah coincidence and a half fella... ROFL My exhaust is defo on its way out though.. think its practically welded together but im gonna run it till it drops trust me !
Was in the same boat yesterday funny enough, Did my brakes all round at the weekend and my exhaust started blowing yesterday, Luckily enough it was able to be welded back up so happy days aye
Not sure what could be causing it totally ? maybe crappy brake fluid or dodgy brake lines maybe ? Im no expert so wouldnt like to give you pony info but maybe with new discs and pads and the calipers nicely cleaned you may be on the road to recovery
BTW my pads came with anti squeal pads on the backs of them and so i did not use any copper grease at all and my brakes are fine, No squealing what so ever, If it does start then i can put some on but to be honest brake pad design has come a long way
Front discs have 2 Torx screws holding them on,
Dont press the brake too hard when you got the calipers and pads out as will be hard to press the pistons back in, I'd just spray them with some brake cleaner or WD40
Fit them your self mate, I did discs and pads all round on my 182 at the weekend and was a piece of pi*s, I got no mechanical knowledge what so ever but gave it a crack and came out fine, Brakes work fine and no squealing so im happy, I paid :-
£45 for front discs
£95 for rear discs ( OEM...
If its blowing its more likely from the cat join, could be the front or rear, Mine blew from the rear first.. fixed that then thefront whent so i bought a new cat and been fine still, The light is on the dash prob due to incorrect readings from the lamba sensor so with a new cat hopefully you...
Gotta learn some how i suppose, Garage near me wanted £150 to do all 4 brakes but obviously i had to supply parts, didnt wanna pay that so gave it a bash and succeeded, Not hard to do at all supprisingly... Thanks again for the reassurance ben top notch fella
Ta ben saves me having to buy more fluid then, Got 2 litres of the stuff to flush out the old.. Maybe should have gone 4.1 but its done now, Now for the rain to stop so i can finish the brakes.. Took 3 hours lol to change all 4 discs and pads, Drivers side rear was a right pain !
Im not gonna mix it mate, Was gonna flush and bleed the brakes first just wanted to know if 5.1 was any good ?? If not i'll still flush em and buy some 4.1 instead, Funny though coz i asked renault out of interest and they said use 4.5 or higher on 182's.. Something to do with the ESP ??
Check the exhaust mount rubbers mate, Mine was sagging and i used the tip in the guides section and sits perfect now

NOTE : Instead of using sockets i used copper piping.. Works a treat though
Oops... Just replaced my discs and pads all round this morning and i bought some brake fluid too, Was gonna buy some dot 4 but the guy in Euro car parts said 5.1 will be better so i bought that, Haven't put it in yet as raining so i hope what i bought is ok ? Anyone know if 5.1 is ok ? Sorry to...
