they are very good, I once had to brake very sharply and if there wasnt a bit of grass at the side of the road then the car behind me would have run into the back of me because he was dead level with me by the time he had stopped!
Yeah I agree, all things equal then the cup is slightly faster. Renault claim 0.2 secs to 62mph difference but I very much doubt it as 15-20kg is not enough of a weight reduction to make that much difference. bear in mind that Renault only claimed a 0.3secs reduction to 62 between the 172 and...
LOL
Me personally thinks Autocar is the best car magazine, its alot more factual and unlike EVO doesnt have unrealistic storys about a 182 keeping up with M6
The 182 list price was £14,700 (plus £225 for cup sus and £170 for cup spolier) total = £15,095
The 182cup list price was £13,800 which included both the cup packs, so there is a £1295 price difference.
Extra equipment on the full fat 182 is:
Climate control instead of AC
Half leather...
I live in Sheffield and I dont usually see many Renaultsport Clios but today at about 14:45 on the A57 between Worksop and Sheffield I saw three!
Firstly there was an arctic blue 182 right in front of me, then coming the other way there was a 172 cup and further on I saw a black 172 at the...
Yeah thats according to the renaultsport website, I have the brochure that says a full fat 182 is 1090kg and the 182 cup is 1075kg. I have a copy of autocar and Evo where they road test the full fat 182 and autocar say it weighs 1090k angd EVO 1080kg
They cant even make their minds up on the...
True, but in the UK we pay high taxes so we should be entitled to a health service and road network that is similar to a country such as Germany, unfortunately our systems are inferior
Im not sure you can call any of them raw except the 172 cup. People say the 182 is raw and it is compared to others but it has alot of luxuries in it.
I think the 172 cup will be the last of the raw hot hatches, as I dont think there is enough demand out there for this type of car
The new price for the 172/182 is going to be £190 a year.
The whole notion of cat tax is ridiculous anyway. I do about 6k a year in my 182 where as someone in a 1.8 Vectra will pay less road tax but could possibly do 30,000 miles a year therefore damaging the roads more and producing more...
On my 182 (so ill asume its the same) the oil cap is under the engine cover. The dipstick is quite difficult to find and is not in the best position. Its sort of in the middle at the front of the eninge bay but it is quite low down
hope that helps
Its very complicated this and thats why it is possible car A could be 1 car length etc in front of car B even though they both have exaclty the same 0-60 time. So its also possible that a car with a faster 0-60 time could be a car length behind a car with a slower 0-60 time.
A better measure...
Buy james cup, much cheaper, you know more about the history of the car and its has climate control so you dont get out of the car dripping in sweat in the summer!
I think it looks better because of the twin exhaust, the wheels are better and I also like the rear spoiler. I know they is not alot of difference but IMO i feel the 182 looks more sportier
