182 everytime as long as performance, handling and fun are the top of your list, if your looking for something more comfortable and refined then go for the ST. As an hot hatch the 182 is far better value for money.
Yes you can tune the ST to 200bhp but insurance cost on that will be much...
The dealers lack of knowledge is astounding.
as it been said Renaultsport Clios service intervals are 12k or 2 years
I think non Renaultsport Clios are 18k or 2 years
I think thats where the dealers get confused
The main differences between the Renaultsport Clios are:
172- has loads of toys like air con, leather xenons etc 157bhp per tonne
172 cup - no toys, (no abs) but lighter 90kg, better suspension and handling 171bhp/per tonne so slighly better performance.
182 with cup packs- 10bhp more...
I guess it depends what you want if you want air con and leather then go for the 182 if it doesnt bother you then go for the 172 cup and save a few £'s
Disagree with the cup looking better than the 182, i think the twin exhaust makes the car look more sportier IMO also i cant tell the...
personally i think its a little expensive (£500 too much) but it has got the ID expensive colour so im not really sure what difference that is making to 2nd hand prices
The main thing is that if you are happy with the price and px price then id say go for it
so true, sometimes i take my car to the football and there is five of us init, they are wedged in the back!
Also I think my mate put the one of the side seatbelts in the the wrong seat belt clips and it is difficult to get it back out
that is simply not true about torque, for example i will use the CTR against the FRS as i have the figures, so its normally aspirated against a turbo and the FRS has way more torque and an advantage of over 50lb/ft in torque/weight. BHP power to weight is pretty equal
If they both put it in...
buy a full fat 182 with both cup packs that way you get all the toys from the 172 and the handling of the 172 cup.
I certainly prefer the 182 over the 172 from a looks point of view
Not true Renault claim horsepower not brake horsepower, i have the renaultsport brochure in front of me. A CTR has 200ps which is 197bhp so 172ps is 170bhp
to calcultae ps to bhp you have to multiply the ps figure by 0.9863
so 172*0.9863= 170bhp when rounded
