Got Spec 2's on my 172. Rate them pretty well in the dry, but have no great confidence in them once in wet conditions. I remember having to stick to 60 or so on the motorway because It felt like I was going to slide all over the place! Wont be buying them again tbh, thinking Michelin PE2's!

Theres your pipework. The S bend coming off the intercooler is a common pipe to split, may be worth checking that one. Also, Number 1 on the diagram can sometimes be at fault, the little sleeve hose.

Tbh mate, your looking at £2-3k Cars that are knocking on 10 years old and expecting them to be perfect...

In 12 months of my ownership its had the following bits fail. All the mounts replaced - Ktec uprated engine and gearbox and powerflex dogbone bush. Clutch Exhaust snapped Exhaust mounts Window regulator Although in fairness, the car is near on 10 years old now...
