Ye you would have to swap them, as the adapters bolt to the hub..
cousenz mentioned they costed £120 in his thread(http://www.cliosport.net/forum/showthread.php?t=414168)
You need like a speical spacers that bolt onto the hub then the wheel bolts onto them, cant remember the proper name of them tho
Adapters is what you need
Ye it is possible its the cause of your problem.
The ring is just there to pick up a signal from the key, as soon it gets the signal that tells the Ecu to fire the engine up. Its part of the security for the clio,
Decoder ring isnt programmed to any car, its just there to pick up a signal...
The ring is around the ignition barrel, so when the key goes in this ring picks up the signal and tells ECU to go ahead with starting basicly,
Remove the covers were your steering wheel is and you will see a black ring, un-plug and remove, put your mates one in.
Then start her up :)

Have you anychance changed the coilpack/Plugs ? if you can get your mate round and remove them from his car and fit to yours see if they start, if they start then atleast you kno they are fine
Easy, wire could be broken inside ;) but doubt it(could happen tho)
you got any spare wire atall hanging about? use speaker wire if you have to will still do the job but it wont be Blue
Could be a Sony HU and a Alpine Amp/sub wont make any difference, if they are connected in properly the will work.

Ahh there is something in the momo box that you plug into the end of the airbag connectors, doesnt look like a resistor but has a small fuse at the end ov it :S. Steering wheel hasnt been connected for about 3months, since my conversion started tbh
Ye i would adivce you to tape it up before...
Ah i though you ment other airbags :osorry,
The wires were lose so i could just fit the boss straight on then the red wire(now black and fried) touched and up it went,
Ye wheel is on now, but the centre part isnt on tho, il tidy it up on the weekend.
Have you sorted yours out yet?
Oh really, thats a shitter tbh, so what have you done regarding Mot time then? as that requires a horn to work.
Il have a look out for a ph1 stalk now then, i was abit scared when it happend blowing it out and snow and it went, but stinks of fire now tho
Oh s**t is there, i was too excited to fit it and finally move the car, but it back fired on me :( ,
Nah airbags are still connected in the car, but i didnt have a steering wheel connected anywayz,
im just abit wary if that will happen when i drive, surely it shouldnt do that :S
Seriously shat myself, connected my momo boss and the horn wire touched the metal of the boss kit and started a fire, Words cannot describe how much i shat myself, lucky there was snow to chuck onit,
Looks like the fire catched the horn wire which made it bigger, nothing in the instructions to...
Ye you would be illegal, iv been telling my family for ages about this but they wouldnt listen and what happend cousine got caught but escaped a ban/fine due to police officers fault.
You need to be as a named driver on the policy to get away with it, phone the insurance up and add yourself...
Its the new style you have ye?
I had instructions with mine even tho i followed the steps it was still wrong, but i was positive it was correct way untill trev on here said swap them and i did and it started no probz, its worth a try if it only takes 30mins ;)
You have 2 oil's. gearbox and engine oil, so not sure if it could mean gearbox oil ?
Did you use the plastic thing to melt across them? i didnt because i needed to make sure it was the correct order first, i would go out and check for you but its freezing sorry,
But just losen them up then...
Ahh, so basicly you kno then that its officialy in first gear ;) i get what your saying, il have to jack the car up again then, i was ready for a test drive tonight aswell but couldnt reverse out haha
Before you fitted the Tdc sensor, did you just cross the wires with each other first to find the correct way? i didnt and managed to put them wrong way, after about a month of piss farting about trying to find the answer i decided to swap them over and hey presto it fired.
The Airbag is nothing...
Look under the headlight screws, you will see a 13mm bolt with like a black metal hook type there(one each side) remove that and bolt it in there, Thats a perfect Earthing point tbh. i had mine for 3years on that point until i decided i had enough of the boom boom boom
I would time it at about 7-9hours, if its only one person it does take much longer, but when theres 2 of you time fly's, i have to say you need 2 people to line the gearbox back in tho, crist that thing is heavy
