Yes it is possible but it will need alot of work, not sure wether the running gear from a 182 will work on a 1.5dci tho,
Can i ask why you are thinking ov doing it? could be easier to sell the 182 and buy a 1.5dci
Hopefully this week guys, il update this tonight ;)
currently having problems selecting Reverse Gear tho, 1,2,3,4,5th all work, just the R :( more head scratching, but think it could be gear selector or something
Dangerous how? i allready have £650+ coilovers on the car and bigger brakes, so i dont see whats dangerous tbh, and i did this because it was my choice, dont drink/smoke etc so i had the money to do it.
LOL, bring it down alot ;)
Your talking in the region of about £1500, thats to keep the 1.2 running gear and just fit a normal 172 engine in, you will lose PAS/ABS/Aircon, but you will benefit because of the weight.
Iv just done it and i kno how much its costed to do, did all the work myself...

A blue wire(Remote) needs to go from the Amp straight into the back ov the Headunit. if this is not connected then it will not work to your needs. so better to check you have them fitted properly dude

Never driven a sport before but clutch does seem to be heavy tho, might just need to get used to it.
Right a quick one here for you,
Had to take gearbox back out last week due to a problem, so disconnected and fitted back, now not sure wether this is because of the cold weather or not but it was fine before gearbox came out..
As you can see, the clocks are all light up, say STOP SERV etc etc...
Map sensors calculates the amount of air going into the engine from what i remember, the idle could be the Map sensor is dodgey, try and replace it if you can
