Well they would be under the cover of the steering collum, you could always cable tie them if you want to stop movement. Ye no problem, il show how iv done it, i might get same problem as you if i do il just solder the wires together after pushing them through ha :)

If your on about the black part on the steering collum that spins round then the wires wont overlap, as you turn left that will follow so making the wires to follow. You can just leave the airbags in there tbh, thats what im planning on doing tommorow when my boss kit arrives, you dont HAVE to...

From what i was told when i was doing my conversion, you need to run the full 172 loom(inside/engine)

Well the other two connection are for the airbag in the steering wheel, so leave them behind the boss(steering collum cover's will hide them) and just feed the horn wire in.

Dont you only need to fit the horn through the Boss kit? surely that gap would be enough to fit them through right

Ye i kno, but he wants cover for some months he is going to use it, so i suggested the above, so if he wants the car form tommorow for a month he could phone his parents up they add him up then job done. as iv been doing it for the past 6months on my dads insurance

Yes you can insure a car for a month etc, But for that to happen you will need a parent etc as the main driver, then Add you as a aditional person. Now theres a limit for this tho some insurance will do 1 month, and other 3(month to month basis) But you will still have the No claims you had but...

Arnt the bearings pressed into the disc on sport model's? surely it would be the caliper's fault if the disc keeps cracking,

no-one is saying ur wrong lol, its just thats what they call it :) & to the original post, can you borrow a decoder ring from someone to test? any decoder will do wether its from a 1.2 etc

Its in the correct section dude, could well be the Uch, cant they put it on diagnostics to test were the fault is?

^ decoder ring is what you mean. that detects that a key is in the barrel and their communicating together so lets the car start

Wont be needed on the 1.2, its only for sport models 172/182

You can use any boss kit, theres one on k-tec's website that will do, its about £45 iirc
