Frankly your a class one fruitcake, your spending over £20k+ (once repayments have been made) on a Clio which is a rubbish base for a modded car, why not buy a 172 or a cheap Mk1 V6 and tune that, easier route to 500bhp. If your doing up your 1.4 your gonna need to spend a fortune of suspension...
I've been reading this thread, and I'm really sorry your car was stolen. A Tracker is certainly the way forward, it won't reduce your premium (according to the 2 insurance companies I spoke to) but it will mean your car is recovered, before it dismantled.
I want to get rid of the seats in my Cup but don't fancy spending £1200 on some Treadlines, are the seats in the V6 any good? or can anyone recommend as suitable replacement, I did try Cobra Monaco's but found them too hardcore.
Also how much would my existing seats be worth given that there...
Don't bother, I put some in my Cup. When to France for a day of 'high speed test' and my @rse hurt for a week afterwards.
But if you still do, then I've still got the subframes if you want to do a deal.
I've got a 182 Cup and I'm tired of the standard bargin basement seats. I'm hoping Cliospares have a half leather rear bench, but I'm unsure what to do with the front, I'm really tempted by the Trohpy Treadline seat, or should I just get some standard 182 half leather jobbies?
I considered doing the same 3 months ago, then I spoke to a V6 owner who outlined the real cost of running a V6, and to be honest it isn't worth it, unless the vee is your second car.
Just got my renewal form though from Admiral, they wanted £681 when I paid £711 last year. When on the net a few ago and got a quote from Elephant of £520. Called admiral to see if they could match my Elephant quote, they could only get down to £600. So i called Elephant and guess what, its a...
To be honest, it does seems strange that some people do have cars which basically live with the dealers and others have had 40k+ miles of no hassles at all. Maybe down to driving styles? Just seems very odd.
Had mine from new (1 year ago) and the temperature sensor broken after 3k, but thats it, it's done 11k now and feels like it needs a service. Every good overall.
Cheers Guys
After a bit of messing about I've got it sorted, but to be honest it'll probably fall off soon, as they don't seem that strong and the mounting points do feel weak.
Many thanks!
After a few balls ups with my 182 Cup I'm (hopefully) going to collect a new splitter from my local dealer tonight, I've noticed on the bottom of the bumper there is a row of bolts, which hopefully just undo and I just attach the splitter and tighten the bolts up again. Can anyone confirm this...
