I got one last week. Its my first forray int SLR cameras so I cant comment on anything else, but from a noobs point of view I'd say its great. Easy to use etc. I also got mine i Jessops and the sales dude said it really is the best entry level D-SLR. I dont think you'd regret it.
Quick question, you say that in 'P' mode the camera controls the shutter speed and aperture? But on my Canon 400D, in 'P' mode I can scroll the main scrolly thing (after pressing the shutter button half way) and adjust both aperture and shutter speed at the same time ie they both move up a value...
Never once thought my 1.2 was boring to drive. Who cares about top end speed. All my favourite roads round here are too tight and twisty to get out of 3rd. Otherwise I'm bopping along at 60 on the daily commute. Never had a need for 172, doesnt mean I wouldnt like one though.

I recall a comment I got from someone...
I'm 22 next weekend.
thats based on £350 optional excess and £300 compulsory. If I remove the optional excess then it goes up quite a bit. I'm going on the basis that I wont have to make a quote... hopefully ;)
Just sent off for a quote from Greenlight... see what they come up with but from...
Are these guys any good?
My renewal came in last week at £1600, got an online quote with Tesco for £760 so thats a sizeable saving and the cheapest I've found yet, but my excess will increase to £650.
So... are they any good? I mean like if I need to make a claim and stuff.
