Evening,
I've been at the WSR today and at some point between entering Silverstone and parking up I've picked up a puncture from a shard of plastic.
If anyone has access to a new Conti Sport Contact 3 215/45/17 for a 197 and you are attending the WSR tomorrow and don't mind selling it...
Following on from the old Spa videos I found on my work PC here, here's some of me at Brands Hatch, again in my old 182. There's a couple more when I get round to chopping them up.

Yeah, I just ran the cable under the door sill trim as Renault do, then using the clip supplied clipped it by the bonnet release. I think tied it up on the underside of the dash beneath the glove box and fed it in to the back where the headunit sits. Really easy to do.
I got 340 miles out of my tank last week before the fuel light came on. Cost me £58 to fill it back up!
This week it's averaging 29mpg with me driving very gently.
On track it got down to 14mpg!
It's impossible. I tried on my first 172. The only way of getting the cable out is to remove the top of the dash as the cable is clipped around the front of the airbag.
I removed the changer and purchased a new cable when I installed it in the 182. From memory the cable is around £75!!
I'd think so, it's not a Cup race car. It's a road car modified for track. He's been using a trailer to get it to track days for a few years though now.
How did I guess that would be the car in question.
It's owned by a guy called Steve. He's a nice bloke. He posts on the Renaultsport forums a bit, he's Steve182 on there if you want to PM him. Mark Fish did all the work on the car for him.
Here's Mr Fish working away on it at Brands last year:
I'd rather have a standard head unit in the dash though. I'd got a nice Alpine unit I'd removed from the Trophy, but decided to sell that and get a Tunepoint instead.
I've been using mine with an 8gb usb stick. I can't be bothered remembering to move my iPod between my gym bag and the car.
Whatever you plug in uses the steering controls. The wheel advances tracks, clicking it advances folders. There's no track names or anything on the display. I just...
Denty was selling them for £100 but he's not got any left. There's a place on Ebay which does them, but they aren't advertised. Think they were £150.
It comes with all the cables and fitting bits.
I paid dealer price of £175.
It took all of 5 minutes to fit.
A decent search function will be a godsend.
I had the Hatton fight in HD. Awsome.
There's fair amount of decent HD content these days. Plus it really shows off a good screen
Thought it may be a repost but couldn't find it.
I see in the description they claim it's a yellow Audi S3, which anyone but a blind man can see isn't the case!!!!
Apparently it's an E30 325i BMW it certainly looks like.
I use the stuff Surechemicals sell, amazing stuff. It's called Sheetclean and is designed to clean the side of lorry tarpaulin (sp). My parents neighbour used to work there and got me a couple of cans of the stuff.
Good to see the ledge still going strong. Sod the wheels, you can't see them...
It's obviously stress!!!
I wanted to come down for Brands, but 3 tanks of petrol is a lot these days, then my boss put a stop to it anyway as I need to cover one of the other lads.
They all do it at some time or another. Some days it's worse than others.
All the 172/182s ran badly when cold but the 197 is noticable worse.
I don't mind, it's the price you pay for a high reving N/A engine. Plus when it's cold it runs rough to lower the emisions, which saves you money...
I recently swapped to NOD32, or ESET smart security as it's now called (another attempt to bundle loads of products together). But this is incredibly light on resources, no word of a lie, my old PC is up and running at least 4-5 minutes sooner than it used to be!!
I've been using AVAST on my...
