Help needed to remove scratches and swirls

To remove swirls you'll need a polishing compound. Used by hand you need something that's quite aggressive but also finishes down very well. I've only used GTechniq P1 by hand to get results, but not found it work as well as the demo video...

New Machine Polisher Required - DAS6 Pro, Flex DA or BigFeet DA

I hated the feel and unbalance of the EP. Vibrations on the pro feel better than the basic DAS6. I'll sell you my das6 pro, I'll do it for you as cheap as the flex and rupes equivalent ;) Have only used flex and rupes in rotary form but can't imagine the DA's to be poor quality

    Which machine polisher?

I've had both standard DA and now have the more powerful DA Pro version both from i4detailing and both pretty good machines. The more powerful machine tended to not bog down quite as much and I managed some pretty good correction from single stage polish on hard VAG paint. I'm sure you'll be...

Is it a painted bin or a plastic wheelie bin? once the panel is clean try a bit of tar remover to see if it works on the plastic, if it's paint it won't work. Something mildly abrasive like SRP / Tripple should remove the plastic marks. If it is paint, then a firm / coarse clay should help...

Neighbour has one of these new shape models and it's bloody ugly when sat next to his slightly older version. He even agrees himself.

Washing in the rain - Gally?

If it's just a routine wash there's no harm in a little rain. If it's not too heavy I'll give it a quick rinse then lightly mist with something like demon shine and watch it bead

    What do i need

Have you got the kit to give the paint a good decontamination first? Tar remover, iron remover and clay? This can bring back some of the gloss, but is a vital part to do before you go at it with the machine polisher If you haven't already got polishing compounds, but maybe something like...
