I think it's worth giving it a shot for £38.. If yours feels restricted, you might be able to live with it or not. I personally couldn't as stated previously I want it running to its full potential. As I've said I just couldn't accept how it felt once it was fully warmed up I reverted back to...
@The Fatty
Just looking at your power graph. Do the clios really only put 136 bhp at the wheels? I was always under the impression it was at the 150 mark in standard form without the filter etc etc.
As everyone said initially, it was worth a shot for £38 quid or whatever it was. And for most people, i expect it was ok and will be keeping it. But even a slight loss of power is enough for my OCD to keep nagging me to take it off so that's what I did. Stuck it on ebay, literally within an hour...
Yeah i'm glad i'm not the only one who noticed it lol
Having said that, I think from experience, it's only inevitable for it to suck up some hot air contray to what people think. Perhaps not much power loss but for me, it was noticable.
This sort of thing really pisses me off too. Twice it's happened to my titanium. One f**king Asian woman did it whilst I were sitting in the car. Needless to say she got an ear full.
Ohh I see. Yeah took it off just to make sure. Its absolutely fine.. If I'm honest however though I was expecting some performance drop so I'm probably looking for something that isn't there. Part of my OCD lol
Afaik the filter is set up correctly.. and although the difference is minimal, I can feel it. But as mentioned, it only happened after a very very long drive. It's not often I drive so far so I really aint all that bothered.
