For £100 each I'm sure you could've gotten Continentals they last nearly as long as Michelins. But yeah, Michelins will last forever basically. I had a set crack and fail MOT on me before I wore them out.
Been on the bay of e since the 7th of March. :P
Basically the car has done less than 1000 miles since last October. No one had been able to shift it because the price had always been too high. Managed to knock them down enough.
I didn't see it.
Here's this one: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Renault-Clio-172-sports-finance-available-/280627246466?pt=Automobiles_UK&hash=item4156aff582
I'd say there's a massive different between being a sheep and ruining your car and making it have no resale value. Save your money, in a few years buy something better.
Sounds like a multitude of things.
1) Unplug and clean all your sensors
2) Clean your throttle body
3) Sell it and buy a 1.4 16v because the 1.2 16v is such a **** engine
Yeah, I've only used a machine polisher once and it didn't end well. I'm after someone in Lincolnshire who can machine polish my headlights for really cheap, they've got the usual issue. If there is anyone PM me asap!
The worst one was when the one on my Si went. Went a bit quick over a tram track in Manchester and the gearbox basically fell through the floor. Was pretty lulz-worthy.
Yes, I did mention service history. And I'd say 90% of the time they go hand in hand. How often do you see a fucked car that has a full service history and has done under 4,000 miles a year?
Me and the girlfriend have just done these things:
1) Moved in together to a city centre location
2) She gave her car (2004 1.2 16v Corsa SXi) to her younger sister
3) We now share a 172.
She's going to crash it, I can tell or kerb the s**t out of the absolutely pristine alloys. Also I caught...
It's my 4th Clio after a Mk2 Ph1 1.2 8v Grande, a Mk2 Ph1 1.4 16v Si and a Mk2 Ph2 1.4 16v Expression. I went from a 206 GTi to this, miles better to be honest.
She's done 38,000 miles and has a full service history. Got a feeling the dog mount is on it's way out though, but that is an easy...
Nikke, like most cars there are good and bad ones out there. Firstly what you have to remember is the the 172/182 are performance cars, thus are usually given a hard life. Your trick is to find the one with the least miles and the most service history you can afford.
I've heard quite a few Yozza's in my time, I don't reckon it is.
By the way, I had it off a few days back, literally no stampings on any part of the exhaust to tell you what it is. :S
