Oh right cheers guys as said ive only seen it twice before as i dont like thrashing the car to that extent. Just got worred when it lowered itself. Oh well clever old Renault:rasp:
Thanks for the help thats good to know
Just down the right bottom of the speedo it looks like a little gear lever. lights up green when you shoul change gear (should light up when you turn the ignition on also) i believe all 172/182 have them?
Just noticed today my shift light usually comes on at around 6800rpm. I very raley see it as i dont usually rev the car this hard. However ive just been out for a bit of a play at lunch and it has started coming on at around 6100rpm and actually hit the limiter at about 6500.
Is it variable...
Ha ha yeah my dad has a ZT-T 190+ thats been chipped etc. that used to feel really quick till my little ole 172 came along:D Still no matych for My old dears Audi TT 225 Quattro though
Unfortunately the real quick feeling of any car is short lived. They always feel as if they get slower. Its just you getting used to it. Drive really slowly for a few days and then boot it again the feeling comes back
MOT Station: Sorry sir we have had to impound your car
Me: Why what is wrong with it.
MOT Station: Well the brake pads are very low and the car is too dangerous to drive
Me: are you sure
MOT Station: Yes they are metal on metal
Me: Oh thats funny i have just spent the last 6 years rebuilding...
Agreed, you could both play f***ing games for ages keying each other cars till they look just as sh*t as each others. Go round there and call him out like a man and kick f*ck out of him till he talks.
As long as its good and all the Docs are there go for it.
Just dont be tempted to buy a lesser quality car than you normally would just cos its a couple of hundred quid cheaper. Could cost you more in the long run.
I can vouch for that exact same mistake (parents werent thrilled):(
You can get drive cleaners that work well i forget the name but i got it from B&Q.
Good luck:approve:
