I dont think we should expect dinks people that dont care for their own cars could at least have some respect for other peoples. Especially when it is generally the cleanest car in the car park and obviously cherished by the owner. I do agree on the spaces some a tiny.

Just bought a 53 plate 34,000 miler for £6300 from a dealer (Mazda part Ex) FSH everything so should get a good one for £6000 if you look around.

A mate of mine has a 1.4 RT i believe the lock in the glovebox is like a second imobiliser i will try to find out more for you.

I think that must be the most used phrase ever, "its Quick for a (Enter engine size here)" generally 1.1-1.4. When will these people realise that maybe it is quick for a 1.2, but it IS ONLY a 1.2 and therefore doesnt come close to the category of Quick. I know we all have to start somewhere...

Dunno yet i havent picked mine up. My old Rover was good for 0-60 in about 45secs, Not really about 8.5s and had it to 120 on the clock so probs just over 110 actual, as long as the 172 thrashes that (Which we all know it does) im a happy bunny. The book says 7.1 i think is this about right...

Anyone know where i can get hold of a 172 Owners manual in electronic format. My mate has lost his. Guess i could photocopy mine but electronic copy would be easier. Cheers

I know normally i wouldnt bother, but he is just one of those blokes that needs to be shown.

Cant wait to pick mine up on Friday a friend of a friend owns a Nova 1.4 SR convinced that cos it has an induction kit it will thrash the 172. Racing for slips apparently, he can keep the Nova (Shed) just looking forward to the satisfaction of blowing the jumped up tw*t into the weeds.

Is fitting the whole exhaust do-able? i guess the manifold would bolt onto the head the same?, and all the mounts will be in the same place?
