I sold my last car on Pistonheads, and only allowed enquires via email.
I don't like to put my number in adverts as when sold you will always get people ringing asking if its still available - which i find annoying. I know you can use the feature whereas they list a phone number, which puts...
Ive fitted new dogbone mount and packed out my top engine mount with some rubber shims. The engine doesnt is solid, but makes the car vibrate on idle which is annoying
My clock never loses time so the battery seems to be fine. Thought it might have been an issue with it not being a permanent live and the memory not working?
To save another thread, and seeing as this one has been answered...
My mileage reset, that I push in when at the petrol station (goes to all 0's) is reset every time I start the car. So I have the 'miles travelled so far in current journey' read out exactly the same as what my trip computer...
Lowering my GTi-6 made the policy cheaper :)
They wanted more for my Cup a year, but stayed with them as I changed over cars 9 months into the policy. If they dont beat other quotes I get in June, i'l go elsewhere. Simple.
Surely thats obvious?

Same reason why roll cages are frowned upon. They could save you some serious injury, but having one classes you as the high risk type that thinks they need one...
Its your car. If you think it improves it, do it.
If we all said it would look good if you had 'im gay' in masking tape on the back window, would you do it because some keyboards said so? :D
Has anyone got a pic of their top engine mount, on the left hand side looking at it?
Mine has a fair gap between the rubber and the mount and wondered if it was normal, or had worn lots.
172 Cup if it helps
Standard rear lights look better IMO opinion, I think any lights that arent original on the rear makes people behind you think you could be a barry.
Looking very clean otherwise!
Whats it lowered on?
Where have you bought coilovers from?
I am after some for my 172 cup, but not sure what places to buy them from. A cheap place that sells many makes of coilovers would be ideal
Removed my standard air box from my 172 cup the other day, and replaced it with a viper filter coming from the standard elbow, with a cold air feed from the end of the viper, going past the battery down to the acoustic valve pipe opening.
Since then the car sounds better, but doesn't seem to go...
I paid 330 to have supplied and fitted: cambelt and aux belt done, new oil, new plugs.
Was an ex Renault mechanic that did it at a garage local to me. Renault would have wanted about 800 to do the same!!
I declared mine before I fitted it as Ive had a 172 Viper filter for years lying around.
Think its lost me torque though so may lose the noise and take it off.
