If they are like that as standard then it makes me feel a bit better!
Just a shame when I polish the old girl up and the strips look so dull. Il just live with it I guess
Jo - Franx is right.
What you are looking at is the 'clio cup RS2000' wheels. ET48.5 made for the clio cups in the cup championship
What we are on about is 172 clio cup wheels, which are ET38.5 and called 'Turinis' They look slightly diff too with less spokes than the ones you posted.
I have...
My 172 Cup's side strips look really dull. so much so, that im afraid to try some polish on them incase it leaves them looking patchy and crap where its not a smooth surface.
Common problem? Dont really want to fork out to get them sprayed up if theres an easy solution :clown:
Popped one on. with the ET40 they dont catch anywhere, and have 2 fingers gap between the tyre and the shock thats all good.
Only Issue I do see, is that the "hub nut?" sticks through the centre of the wheel slightly and I dont have centre caps. I would buy some, but not sure if they will be...
I bought loads of paint and sandpaper, liquid metal etc when I was going to refurb a set of alloys I have. I started rubbing down in preperation for filling, and after I had done half the wheel I asked myself a couple of questions.. Was it going to be easy to get the lip neat? Was the finish...
Running standard brakes so thats alright then :)
Hopefully now I can start getting this car how I want it!
Originally I found some 17s, but went for these in a 15" in the end. Smaller than the Turinis, but shouldnt look too small on the Cup
Thanks for the confirmations!
Im going to answer my own question after a change of keywords in the search.
The ET40 wheels will sit in my archs more as my Turinis are 38.5? So i lose 3mm track over all?
Just bought a set of wheels for the clio second hand but in a 40 offset.
Will I need spacers? I forget if the higher the number sticks out or sticks in more. Should have checked before I bought them really. Can wait until the weekend to see if they fit, but if anyone has been in the same...
I spent 5 mins going up and down the fuel lines looking for the fuel filter on my Cup...
Then a search on here confirmed my suspicions that it had an in tank filter!
Have you been on it?
Tempted to take the wife on but the view of the building site in front, and the barriers along the sea front put me off! Probably pricey too
Theres a thread about it. Someone took the piss and recommended someone painting thier wheels amphasite and the OP believed it was a finish.
Or something like that!:clown:
They arent there to give do you a favour and give you what your car is worth hassle free, they are a buisness, they thrive on people being desperate for cash who will sell on the day cheap to save hassle and get quick money.
Might come as a shock to some of you that they will sell your car on...
I know a few students. I can almost bet that they would have washed the bacon off and eaten it if they found it on their car!
Ive also eaten off worse surfaces TBH
Had my brake discs and pads changed recently and have noticed that the outer half of the disk is clean, and the inner inch or so is rusty where the pads havent made contact. Are the pads slightly raised when new on the outer edge to cause this? Or are my calipers foofed. Same on both sides on...
