JDM stands for Japanese domestic market.
Originally it was a phrase coined for the Japanese market hot hatches from ther likes of Honda, Nissan etc. These models were available in Japan only and featured subtle differences to the western versions, and were more concerned with performance...
thanks for that, so i will need a pair of 5mm spacers then. I already have the wheels. where can i get the spacers and what size (apart fro the obvious 5mm) do i need?
the wheels i have are some 16" 172 alloys, not sure what the offset is on these, just presumed they would be the same as my standard 15" dynamique alloys.
Will i have any rubbing issues fitting them as is to my 1.6 dynamique? The car isnt lowered at the mo.
when i do lower it, looking at a 40mm drop, will i need to do anything to avoid rubbing issues etc.
Looking for help who have these size tyres on their clios.
thanks in advance.
Just did mie recently, see thread "do the french have small hands?", it was a t**t but to be honest, have a little perseverance and you will manage. My hands were a bit cut up, but i had worse in my old job.
Cheers mate, would be much appreciated. The standard air feed does seem to go somewhere where i can't imagine much air gets to. Did consider rerouting it but couldnt decide where to put it.
you activate/deactivate the auto sidelights by moving the selector from 0 to sidelights and back, twice.
One beep means you have de-activated it, two means you have activated it.
All this must be done with the ignition on but the engine NOT running.
Hope that helps.
I understand how it is supposed to work, but what i want to know is, is the reason this is bad for the engine. Does it just increase your mpg as it over fuels or something, or will it actually damage the engine? If so how?
Just been sat reading my flatmates performance VW mag, and in one article, some VW mechanics actually recommend fitting one of those E-Bay resistors because of the performance gains.
Now I am no expert on internal combustion engines, but I would have thought that fooling it to do something...
Thats quite cool, just had a look at some of the other ones and see they do a couple of sport sets for the standard non-RS clios, consisting of sideskirts, front spoiler and rear trim. Might be of interest to a few Dynamique owners.
Think its about the 4th picture in.
Apologies if this is a repost, if it is, how do you check to make sure specific pics and vids havent been posted before? There doesn't seem to be a good way.

Yeah, the left was a piece of the proverbail piss.
I used to work on fast jets in the RAF and am used to the cut hands thing, just it seems a bit more ridiculous on a car for the spaces to be so confined.
Just replaced the front bulbs. Its a bit of a tight squeeze to get the hand to the right hand sidelight though isn't it. The air-con pipes (i think?) make it a bit restricted.
One of my mates swears by running the engine to let the bay warm up nicely, then spraying the lot with WD-40, turning off the engine and closing the bonnet.
Anyone know if this is a good idea? I didn't want to agree or disagree with him just yet.
