    Thats what happened last time i saw a plug like that ( another 172 )!! Even punched a hole through the coolant gallery in the head and lost that! Be prepared for a big bill!

    Let me get this right? You took your car in for a cambelt change and dephaser?! it was driving fine?! Then the bloke told you it had no compression and it's insides were rattling?! What the F*ck?!!?! The ticking noise sounds like the carbon canister and this is located in the drivers wheel...

    Re: Diesel in a 182 It doesnt sound happy, are you sure its defo dodgy fuel, and not an oxy sensor problem!? Could just be a coinsidence?? (sp) Is there any local garage you trust to do a diag check without paying renault £80?! We will check it for you but it's a long drive in a poorly car!
