If I am regularly changing the gearbox oil, is it ok to run semi synthetic 75w90?

If its genuine then yes. These are hard to get hold of now I believe.

I know that fully synthetic oil is specified for the gearbox, however if I am changing the oil regularly (every few thousand miles) is it ok to use semi synthetic but of the same grade?

I used to have this. John Eales 4.6 mild Rover V8 mid mounted. Fox coilovers etc... This being 4wd and was very well balanced was very easy to control at the limit. I wouldn't say an idiot can "hold" a slide but I think it is easier than it looks on video. Left foot braking helps ;)
