Ok, as far as I know, there should be 3 sets of wires going to the seat, one for the side airbag, one for the seatbelt pre-tensioner and one for the "person in the seat" pressure sensor, I guess if one of the looks to be hard wired itll be the pressure sensor (Cant say as Ive looked at that...
Well, I couldnt beleive it when I got told I won the tickets hehe, anyway after cheekily inviting herself along (hehe) HippyChick and I both really enjoyed sunday. The FIA GT racers are LOUD, fantastically so, and after a few hours of that we were ready for some lunch, so off to the Renault tent...
When you upsize the wheels you have to compensate on the tyre profile to keep near enough the same rolling diameter, then your speedo wont be out by much if anything.
Welcome!!!!!!!:D
1) The car I started with LoL
2) Adrian Flux or Liverpool Victoria
3) Someone else will have to have insurance for the car (it must specify the car, it cant be only on their 3rd party on other vehicles cover)
4) Dunno
5) Yes, but handling can increase with size...
Erm, well off the top of my head..... and assuming the both amps are 2 channel.....and your HU has pre-out and sub pre-out....
Run main power cable from battery back into boot (fused of course)
Run rcas and switching line from head unit to boot
wire in both amps to power and take a line...
You should be able to do this without problems, your only issue is finding the corrent resistance to terminate the circuits with, I have the info for the 172s, and can probably find the info for the 16vs too if I get a few minutes to make a call tomorrow if ya like, then just make up some sort...
Hehehe the original K-tec is the dogs, you lot who had to get the quieter one are just chickens ;):p
Build quality is A1 imho, and their service is great too (David, just send me a couple of stickers for the plug mate LoL)
Hi guys, Im just going to go on a mad hunt for a 16v to keep me driving whilst the 172 is in getting done, so, can you guys give me a list of items to look at/check whilst Im going around, so that I dont end up with a lemon?
Cheers :-)
Guys, now Im running the k-tec exhaust and have started to have this too (esp when on a track when Im in that 4.5 - 5.5k rpm section), one of my renault guys just said it was most probably the heat sheild coming loose, now does anyone know where I should be looking to tighten this up again...
Dont worry guys, the TBs for 172s are on their way, if everyone keeps their fingers crossed itll be making it to York and hopefully making a good time (if I can get myself upto speed LoL)
The kit will be hopefully available a month or two after, itll be posted when it is.
You can put them back in (slacken off the harnesses to get the bases in) but I run with mine out now, backs are in just to create a boot until I can make something to do that job thats a bit lighter the the seats.
The wiring is slightly different, but there is a step by step guide for you here http://www.cliosport.nu/3_3_1.asphttp://www.cliosport.nu/3_3_1.asp
Good luck.
Hehehe Yeah Rod, I did, solihull->north coast of scotland and back again, and what a laff it was :D
But the thing that got me was having to complete my journey into Sutherland (county?) on a single track road - for 60 odd miles ! :o
But anyway, back to the subject, Im now on about 19,500...
WTF?
What is this site? it not only uses the cliosport logo but has links straight to things like the stylesheet for our site etc?
Very odd, maybe this is going to be an offical deal thing for the club? Gotta say, the company who runs it sounds like the should be in another business "Lost...
Right, unless youre fitting a rear strut brace thats bolted to the shell you are better off bolting them to a bolt point on the body, when you think about the forces that exist in a crash scenario you really dont want that acting as a sheering force on the top of the rear struts.
I dont know...
Nick! remember how blank the white one looked at the FCS, if you get rid of them youve gotta do something about the bumper strips or itll look all odd. Colour code the ones youve got or get phase2s, but dont get rid of them.
Hehe, yup ok, its nicely chosen Jenvey single bodies, a new Jenvey manifold (Still waiting to know its been cast and going to be machined) and a new separate ECU is a definate, this also has been chosen, everything is set to roll, and when (not if) we get this sorted to a satifactory solution...
Well TimO certainly has the crown of quickest (ie 1/4 mile time) but what about bhpwise as 172gal asked? anyway, like ya say its all about the times aint it, not the bhp, power to weight n all that......
Well, gotta go see about some seats, gotta shift another 40 odd kilos outta this car LoL
Hmmmmm good question, there was one post from mark267bhp who said he had just bought a mk1 172 with throttle bodies and nitrous which I guess made 267bhp on the rollers.....
But, are you talking about speed of acceleration or pure grunt power?
