I bought a used import with 17k on the clock, put another 14k on it myself so far, and its had the standard headlight washer ball fall out, drivers side windscreen trim fell off at excessive speed, then a few belts went in the engine - all replaced under warranty...
but the good far outways...
Yep, the toad alarm can control the central locking.
You can also get the dual zone microwave sensor thingy that chirps at people who nosy through your windows...
You have to stay in granny mode on the M1 cattle run 1st thing in a morning.. I get an average 350 from a tank before I fill up, but its not totally empty, its just above the red.. computer reckons theres another 50/60 miles in there, but theyve been known to be wrong...
41.2mpg it says on the dash running on optimax, doing the 20 mile trip to work on the M1 @ 50/60mph...
oh how i pray for a clear stretch of motorway *sigh*
what can you do? Try explaining its a s/s exhaust and not a manifold to some call centre girl in India that only has a basic understanding of English, nevermind an understanding of a car....
Oh well, at least Ive declared it... I didnt always use to....
Im insured with Bell Direct and if you declare your after-market exhaust, they have to class it in the exhaust/manifold section. Even though Ive not changed the manifold. Dont know whether all insurance companies do this?
I went for a 172 over a civic, having owned a vts. my opinion was..
The reason i went for the clio was the all the toys you get with them as standard, seems to have more low down power (good for town driving), and you see far less 182s than civic trs, better mpg?
but then that civic engine...
my missis would love that car - until she drove it - too low, shed rip the front of it to bits trying to park it... then the seats, look good, but wouldnt be comfy enough and she wouldnt be able to get her mates in the back...
looks well look after though...
I use shoe polish on the tyres, seems to keep them looking black longer than other tyre cleaners, but you wont get that wet look with shoe polish..but keep trying different products till you get one youre happy with...
please dont go to hudds, itll come out with scratches and dents that werent there before. They make stories up to keep youre car in longer!!
bad. bad. bad.
