daz - mine was fitted by the mobile installer - Ian Mewse, i think they call him, very nice bloke.
northy - get the perimeter sensor, fks people right off when they snoop in to have a look.... bout £40 extra
if theyre leaking, get em replaced - the headlamp washers are about a fiver each, but then Renaults labour is about £60, take it to some other garage if youre not good with a spanner, they might charge you £10 to do it....like they did me.
Ive been through all this, i wrote a letter and even phoned head office to complain about a dealer, and all they do is refer it back to the branch who you have the problem with...
standard letter youll get back is the "were taking all your comments on board, currently addressing this issue...
"Had my Eibachs on for 20,000 miles now - standard shocks are still fine."
which type have you got on? isnt there a sport and a pro or something?
Am thinking of fitting em to mine...
youre insurance should be lower and you should get more mpg than the subaru (depending on how you drive it), dump the honda and get a 172/cup.... go on...
I had a sparkrite alarm on my first car, it kept going off when motorbikes passed it, no matter what i did to the sensitivity of it... it was pants.
Im getting a toad alarm for the new car, all the bells and whistles on it, seems to come with as many toys as cliffords, but cheaper...
Ive had this happen i think. Usually when the cars been left outside for a few days without being run... but thinking about it, could be the handbrake sticking on??
Ive got a mk2 import, apart from the missing alarm and no locking wheel nuts, its the same car, but cheaper. Make sure you find out which country its from. If its within the EU youll be alright for the 3 years warranty, if its from outside, you may get a year from the place you bought it, but...
oh yes, under warranty, just thought Id check that it could happen. The dealers i took it to ahve been known to be economical with the truth before though...
thanks
hello
has anybody ever had to replace their cam belt on a mk 2 172? Mines done 18k and the dealer reckons the auxillary belt came loose, wore through some kind of housing and caused damage to the cam belt? Is this possible?
