I have Full Fat 182, love it. If you can afford it I'd go for the Trophy.
Try to find a FF182 with the Cup Packs on, Best of both worlds (but yes a little heavier).
Also you can fit 172 parts onto a 182 FF. Cup version has different hubs (or something) so when it came to fitting Eibach...
Nothing wrong with Limewire. Although some of the files I have downloaded from it have had a virus or two.
At the end of the day use the programme that gets the results.

I haven't attended the cafe on this night, but I've been on a few others. It seems to be getting quiter lately (according to some regulars I know).

I have a black 182.
Took a leaf out of Rich's book and now use AG Super Resin Polish + AG E Gloss Protection + P21s.
Excellent results, can be a little bit time consuming but by no means too taxing to apply and buff up.
182 manifold costs £100-350 (depending if you get lucky), manifold fitting + modifications £2-300 + 'maybe' a remap, min £500ish, max £700ish
