    One question iPhone/iPT thread.

Re: iPhone Q&A DONT START ONE QUESTION IPHONE THREADS. **POST HERE** I think it's the sensor to recognise when you have your phone to your ear, to stop any of the screen becoming active when your face touches it.

Just bought this am abit weary?

Actually, ignore my previous post, I think this might just be a lost cause! I sold my excellent condition Cup with 80k, FSH, folder full of receipts, etc, etc for £3500 only a few weeks ago. Be patient; there's better out there.

Just bought this am abit weary?

Having read through all of this I can only come to the conclusion that you're a glutton for punishment! Almost everyone on here has said to leave this alone as it screams out 'dodgy' and yet you still seem to think that if you can knock a bit off it'll become a good deal! It won't. It seems...

On my Clio: My surname. Never been pulled or had any hassle whatsoever for the size or lack of space. Not on my Bora yet, but I'll be going German with C2-EBO in due course...

    Overspray

As said, aggressive clay is designed for overspray. Not your generic gnat's piss Megs clay, but proper Sonus or Bilt-Hamber stuff. Failing that, would a soak in Tardis do any good?

FED UP HAVING TO SCRUB ALLOY WHEELS

I'd say the best bet is to set aside a day where to can get them off the car and give them a proper clean. Once they're totally free from brake dust, apply a layer of Poorboys Wheel Sealant. Let it cure and then remove, much like EGP. Do this as many times as you can bear (after 3 I normaly...

    Which Wheel Sealent

I'm a poorboys fan - great stuff. Consensus seems to be there's not to choose between PB and CG WheelGuard though.

    Wax Guidance please!

My new purchase of Vics Concours is doing very nicely: A very impressive budget wax; way better than I ever remember P21s being.

Changing Globes - Clio Sport Estate

You can easily access the headlight bulbs from the engine bay, although they can be fiddly to replace due to the tight space. Just twist out the old one and replace the bulb.

new to the site need some buying advice please

Hmm, tricky one. Mileage is never an issue if it has the service history to back it up, but expect to have to replace parts as they wear out. Things like steering arms, track rod ends, springs, shocks, etc will all need doing in due course if they haven't already. Cat D is always risky too...

    Concourse Wax & Cruising Wax

All the plaudits seem to go to the Concours wax... highly rated. So much so I've made it my latest purchase.

Best wax for metallic black ??

By hand your best bet is AG SRP and then a nice wet-look wax like Vics Concours.

Uh, are backing plates meant to break!?!

Lol, spot on! In a nice dark green colour full of light scratches that my DA doesn't touch! If you fancy a day of polishing one weekend then give me a shout mate, I can supply tea, coffee and plenty of bacon! Well, my old dear can as my place doesn't have enough space to clean cars...

    viewed a 172

£3500 for a 172 with no history and belts not done is too much nowadays, regardless of mileage. It really is a buyer's market mate; be patient and search around and you'll find a bargain.

Uh, are backing plates meant to break!?!

Well I've emailed the chap/s at CYC, asking if they've had any other instances of it happening and what they think. I need some other bits, so am more than happy to order the other stuff I need from them if they can exchange the plate for a new one...
