Thanks for that... luckily the paint is far better and harder than Renault. ;)
Happened yesterday, only the second time I've used the DA (and said backing plate). It's why I wonder if I'm doing something wrong, maybe letting it bog down too often?
Just been out giving the car a bit of a polish and, whilst working on one of the doors, the backing plate has just ripped apart (the point where the screw plate is glued to the hard yellow foam that has the velcro on it...). Luckily it happened over a few seconds, so I could see/hear it coming...
Yeah I know, but "car detailing as we know it" is relatively new. There have always been a minority group of people who have obsessed over the condition of their car paintwork, but it's more prominent now through the advent of the internet and an increased popularity and awareness of enthusiast...
As said, if you're just looking to tidy things up, mask some swirls and give a nice reflection then I'd wholly recommend the good ol' SRP and EGP combo.
Wouldn't say it's just the older generation, plenty of people my age and younger have no idea about keeping a car clean and caring for it. I suppose car detailing as we know it is a relatively new thing, so it's rarer in the old generations than it is in the young-uns.
I've always been a boring tone man myself, but it seems that with a bit of imagination a well thought out song ringtone can be appreciated and hated in equal measure!
You know, the ones that make half the room go "awwwww yeah!", and the other half just look at you with disgust and shake their head...?
So far I'm rocking Apache by the Sugarhill Gang, but it's a bit old hat now.
Any inspiration?
Re: iPhone Q&A DONT START ONE QUESTION IPHONE THREADS. **POST HERE**
There's a load of guides if you Google the question, or stick it in Youtube.
Very easy but involves a few steps...
EDIT - Or use Tom's link... doesn't work for SMS tones as well does it?
Re: iPhone Software 3.0 - Out 17/6 & iPhone 3GS - Out 19/6
So, instead of pressing the button to call a person or open your iPod, you press a button and then say the person's name?
Big selling point... ;)
I don't think the wheels are 'too' bad.
I would raid a scrappy to egt rear lights, clear side repeaters, normal aerial, normal mirrors and bases and then get a stealth exhaust and lost the mudflaps.
Reckon a few hundred ££ will see you right with a tidy example.
The very first enquiry maks it obvious it's a scam... seen sooo many of them now!
I'm surprised nobody has made a more believable enquiry tbh. A decent first email and an another way of wording "I want it to be shipped" and they'd be well away against a fair few potential victims.

Scutch, tick the 'manually manage music and videos" on the iphone summary tab. I've also unticked 'sync music' on the music tab, but not sure if this is essential.
You can now just drag albums onto your phone from the itune library.

FFS - what has happened to CS?
An eruption of need, for which I want no part.
I'd like a new avatar though...
