I would go for a MK2 172 over a Cup. The difference in performance isnt great enough really. You probably wouldnt notice the difference after a few weeks. I dont know how much weight has been saved but im sure the weight of the driver may be a factor. Buy a 172 and go on the slimfast plan for a...
No defeats yet in the Willie but I did ignore the Type R scoobie the other morning as he would has killed me!
In my XR2 I got beat by a 1.7 Volvo 340!!
In my RS1800 I held off a MI16 405 Until 80 then he went past like id hit a brick wall!
In my MK2 16V Golf Gti I raced a 300+bhp Escort...
Yeah I never want to sell my Williams - it seems pretty much pefect for me. Almost quick enough! Very good MPG! Great size, good looks and cheap insurance (well for me anyway). The only possible downside is the future reliabilty.
I regret selling most of my cars! the problem is you see your car everyday so it doesnt seem as nice! When every I see a pic of one of my old cars I think it looks far better than when I sold it! The Willie is a bit special - I have to let customers hear it and give them a tour on a regular...
I got a MP40 headunit as a stopgap - it plays MP3s (main purpose) and runs the standard (and very very mailto:cr@p">cr@p) speakers. It only cost £125 new so in comparason I would say that it is very good value for money compared to the other MP3 players for £125. It actually looks good in the...
Were the figures done by the same rolling road? If not then they arent really a comparason as Rolling roads appear to be a lottery. I have seen some very different figures from the same cars at different rolling roads. Some rolling roads do appear to be way out.
Im putting my car into a mates garage for a check-over because of the following I had posted in general. "Since I have had the car I have noticed a bit of slack when letting the clutch out and accelerating - this with a few clunks at the same time. Tonight I noticed if I change gear while moving...
Well drove the 1.5 miles to work and nothing! The gears are a wee bit notchy but thats it. Well I dont really know how it can happen then vanish - I think I will be going for a long run in my 1 hour lunch break!
It would be very close and maybe all down to the driver. As standard stats go the 205 would be slowest just behind the other 2. Mid-range the 205 loses it a wee bit 30-70 7.9secs. As for a Fezzie RS Turbo chipped - if set up correctly klmillard with a uprated actuator would annialate them all...
I only noticed this tonight - I changed gear and it made a quiet crunch so I kept the clutch in and tried the other gears and it did the same for all of them. Its not a full blown "CRUNCH" its more of a quiet version!
Since I have had the car I have noticed a bit of slack when letting the clutch out and accelerating - this with a few clunks at the same time. Tonight I noticed if I change gear while moving without letting the clutch out there is a mechanacal noise/crunch. This happens with every gear while on...
Quote "especially if youre 6" plus like moi."
LOL Mike if your only 6"s tall then you are doing well with any clutch! Then again if you are using 6"s of something else I dont want to know;)
I did one attempt today on the way home with SUL and got 5.96.
Paddy 30-70 is more real world for some of us than 0- ? . I have never ever had a race off the lights - only while on the move usually from around 30 off roundabouts!!
gutted when the handbrake wasnt on properly and it rolled into my mums vitara and wedged under the spare wheel putting a nice big dent in the bonnet
What a sickener!!:o
Cheers guys - im trying to get a rough idea of what other people think. Read the Evo tyre review but it didnt seem to have much in common with what people think.
