Its tyre time for me again so I thought id see what everyone else likes and dislikes - Best dry weather tyre is what I want as I drive slow in the wet anyway! I put this thread in this forum so I would last a bit longer!!
My favorite so far: Yokohama A539
My most Hated: Pirelli P600...
I dont know - I went for the willie for lower running costs but I would like either a Large Turbo Escort Cossie or a Evo 6 Makkinen. A Focus RS if they dropped in price enough. If I had to sell the willie today to save cash I would get a cheap Fiesta Turbo again, the thought of that cheap power...
Loads of Octavia RSs where I stay - understated but nice! My only reservation would be all the new VAG group cars ive driven ive have hated! Lack of feel and wooden steering - like my old Fiesta LOL. Im not saying the octavia is like that but the 1.8T A3, 130 GT Tdi Golf & Bora and a 1.8T Passat...
The Focus RS is under 20k I think - £19,995 or something & about £17 on import I think. The CTR looks nice from some angles but is very ugly from others! A bread van possibly!
There is a 172 chart on the superchip site how real or accurate it is I dont know!

I usually call loads of insurance companies at renewal time and you get this response from one or two of them. They really dont know about cars - a Willie is only group 15 now I think. But some will still have it on group 17+
Try insuring a Fiesta RS1800 the Valver equivalent - slower than a...
The worst ive had so far in my Wiliie is 27.55mpg - almost all town driving and quite a few 30-70 and 40-100 runs aswell. I must be doing something wrong as my last car was 16-22mpg town driving!!
I may just keep my Willie completely std but I fancy a touch more power maybe just a de-cat is the way to go. I thought maybe of a de-cat, chip & panel filter to give a wee bit more.
I have to look in the bright side and im only 28 - cheap insurance £396 for a williams - I was also quoted under £600 for a Scoob Turbo and under £800 for a Escort Cosworth/Evo6;)
Cheers guys - I had it done on my last car but it was a turbo so it was worth while, so I was wondering about NA cars. If it raises the revs slightly I would make a big difference. Ill e-mail superchips!
Who knows - I was surprised that a Golf Gti would beat a CTR especially in a Jap mag. I didnt look at the 0-60s etc just the mini reviews at the end. It said it was and anniversary Gti but the times means it does seem more likely to be a R32.
