The RS2000 is completely different to s Cossie, as RobFenn say it shares some Sierra history. I think the Running gear is a shortened version of the Cossie sierra 4 X 4. The Cossies were longer than normal escorts but shorter than a Sierra and hand built in Germany.

The Old 8v Gti is very slow the 16v is the quick one. Round about M-N reg. I think the 8v is about VTR (10secs to 60) speed and the 16v is about 8 secs to 60.

I have this problem although its not in 1st - I dont boot it in 1st thats why. My Tyres are old which is why it happens to me - P600s I found were not very good on my last car. I went from them to Yokohamas and the difference was tremendous.
