If you are worried about the fuel costs (of which there are barely any) then you aren't really the type of person who should have it because you'll REALLY worry about the noise.

Or just do what i did and yank the horn button out of the steering wheel with wires still attached until the smoke stops.
Probably one of the biggest "oh fack!!!" moments I've had in my car.

Well its the 2nd car now you see. The old girl only comes out on the weekends or for track work so I've seriously improved the chances of its survival.....along with me getting older.

A defining factor when it comes to feeling 'secure' in a car is the driving position/seat IMO.
The orginal Clio seats are basically like a pair of bar stools so other than doing the usual mechanical checks to make sure nothing is fundamentally wrong with it in the chassis/suspension/tyre...
