Re: Ph1 172
There isn't step. It's a 48mm OD and 45mm ID flange with a 45mm ID hose, its clamped on the ends of the flange so it pushes the hose flush with the flange :)
That was a thought of mine for a later date now I'm happy with how it site, but only to tidy it up and not to smooth out...
Re: Ph1 172
Trimmed all the hoses to suit and got it all fitted up this evening. Total inlet length from the valve head to end of the trumpet is 380mm :) I'm running equivalent to 130mm trumpets now with the 180mm DTH bodies.
Had to trim the inside of the bonnet slightly. I've got the all...

Re: Ph1 172
My friend had a present for me today!
Different thickness rear spacers to try out to see what's best with no added camber as I've got 1.8 degrees each side with the standard beam.
Aaaand
Some flange!
So should get everything in place this weekend :)
The ph1 is 1059kg, ph2 is 1100 or thereabouts and the cup is 1020.
But my ph1 is lighter than a cup ;)
Yes you can swap bits over. I'm in the process of doing the engine subframe which gives 10mm extra track width either side.
I've already got a shorter cup final drive in the gearbox which...

Mapping booked for March 17th :)
It'll give me a chance to get a some other bits done before then so mapping will be the last bit before the summer.
Why's that?
I thought it was good. Very quick changes, didn't unsettle the car at all, multiple downshifts worked well and it blips the throttle for you. Very easy to drive fast.
No front adjustable anti-roll bar exists so this would be welcome.
As Budgie has stated there are already competitors in the market for the springs and rear roll bar. Eibach Sportline, Cooksport and Apex so I would see how to fit in with those. And the only rear anti-roll bar available is the...
Piper cams £320
Catcams 438 or 421 £600
You won't see much difference in performance so you need to decide if you want to spend the extra £280 to say you've got catcams.
That's exactly it. Road tyre price but with good performance on track and they take the abuse all day.
All this speculation for what?! Do you really want to pay more?!
They sponsored the time attack for a while and all of them ran the ksport stuff. A guy in work has them on his 600bhp R33 GTR and my mate has them on her Scooby. No complaints from either
Or maybe its just the motorsport companies trying to justify charging more for the same tyres?! Who knows.
Doubt anyone will ever really find out, Federal certainly won't clarify. And a couple of mm where it fits on the rim says nothing.
Just carry on using them for a cheap tyre. Then if you...
strong money. Around £1300 all in.
Not considered these? http://www.larkspeed.com/index.pl?p=RE0126POT286X26&a=i with http://www.camskill.co.uk/m31b0s3086p18078/EBC_BRAKE_PADS_EBC_YELLOWSTUFF_BRAKE_PADS_-_DP4002R_-_EBC_Yellowstuff_Brake_Pads_
And then use the spare £400 towards the head?
