Happened me yesterday mate comin on to the motorway - maxed out in 2nd and took me about 5 secs to get into 3rd safely - the revs just well reved like a bad gear change - itll take a while to learn to drive the thing Im sure - Im finding it hits the limiter too quick in every gear!

The replacement air filter (Green) I have in my 1.6 16V Mk 2 Clio (2000) is the same as that for a 2002 model and the same as the 1.4 16V engine also!!

Imprezas have Boxer engines - very distinctive sound - cant imagine a valver sounded anything like a scooby - noisy yes, but totally different sound - maybe its a scooby 57i kit - lol

300 miles on it and rev limiter cuts at 7200rpm? I though i had the same problem - but it was just getting used to the clutchand gear change!!!

Would it not be a better test if all the cars were unmodded ie standard? A standard VTR against ur Valver isnt really going to be an accurate measure of which wins overall surely?

I got another 1 BHP by putting clear side repeaters on, silver visions and a carbon tax disc holder! Any other planned mods sangy! I was actually only suggesting we had a proper mature debate about all the Hot Renault Hatches in the past 20 years - didnt mean it to become technical just...
