following on from my previous thread, whilst i was taking photos i had a go at some HDR. Got my 3 pics and whacked them into photoshop, had a play with the curves and this is what i came out with:
(tried to keep the effect subtle yet still visible)
Extra Gloss Protection (Autoglym), its a sealant, protects the paintwork and makes washing it next time much easier as none of the dirt can set itself on the pain properly.
So yeah, had some spare time yesterday so i attacked the car, process as follows;
AG Engine & Machine cleaner on all the wheels and arches
Wheels and arches then cleaned with strong mix of NXT shampoo
Car hosed right now
Full clean with NXT shampoo
All dried with microfibre cloths
AG SRP...
sell it on here if u cant be arsed to sort all that stuff, its easy to fix and im sure sum1 on here will want. cud push for £5000-£5500 really.
trading in is a big no no, they'll rip u off mate, remember theyve got to sell the car on and make a profit, lol.
just bung it on mate, really, it wont make any difference, they'll never know and if u do crash its a 2 second job to swap it bk, shud an assesor be coming out anyway.
an assesor is unlikely to notice if thats the only mod too, is he really gonna turn up and start dismantling the air box??? i...
my point exactly, just looks like some crappy standard colour, and when thyre dirty they look really boring.
theres is a nice pearlescent tinge to it in the sunlight, but again its gotta be all polished up and gleaming to see it.
petrol blue is like a murkey seawater greeny blue colour. its SUPER rare, but in my opinion doesnt look all that hot, people only rave about it cuz theres none about.
only looks great when its really clean.
edit: only 9 of them in the uk!!!
tell me about it, i was in exactly the same position. its worth holding out tho!
(also in a years time 182s will be cheaper still, so ull save even more, more for mods, haha)
hmmm, might be worth getting a few more qoutes then. its your call mate but even at 20 (which makes very very little difference) ur gonna be looking at £2k-£2.5k to insure it.
just a case of weather or not u can justify it really, if ur happy to pay it, then go for it.
Id seriously reccomend...
yeah its worth learning the basics of good detailing, makes all the difference. could always just set about modding ur 1.6 more.
the way i see it ull pay 10k for a car, then 3k to insure it.
13,000, you can get 197's for that!!!!
yup, get older, lol.
i know it sounds crap but its not worth going on ur dads mate, insurance comapnys are getting so wise to this now and if u smash it up and they decide not to pay out, ur gonne right up the creek (no paddle provided). £3k on ur own is bonkers tho!!
u thought about running...
ah right, not far off me then, im 21.
20 when i insured it, 0 years ncb, £1650 on my 52 plate 172 cup, thats 3rd party F&T
that 182 is worth too much to be looking at 3rdPF&T so ull be fully comp, have u had any qoutes? u gotta be looking at 2k easy to insure it...
