Yeah have tried this also.. I have removed both feeds from the box but the lower feed seems to pass over the bulb connection its self and has no degree of flex in it.. I shall have another go tomorrow at some point.. Probably don't help that it was dark and I am shattered :o

To me? K-Tec.. on their website. the only ECU I have seen for sale is one for use on a turbo converted engine http://www.k-tecracing.com/show_product.asp?id=2835

Usually on a car the battery light appearing means its not getting a charge.. Could be an alternator problem but you say you've had this replaced? Try getting the car ticking over and with a voltmeter if you have one, connect it to the + and - and see if its reading around 14v

I am aware they don't fit wonderfully.. But on my mates 172 and also many more I have seen the bumper at the point where it pops in under the wing usually is popped in under the wing and not hanging out like this:
