My bad.. I assumed both came lacking and where different groups.. Remember when I rang my insurance for a quote on my Ph1 they asked if it was a cup (yes odd I know) women said the cup would be more due to it being higher risk.. Ignore my previous post as its bullsh!t :o

@Caput.. Is your car is listed as a Cup on the V5? You should ring your insurance and let them know it isn't.. Cups are considerably more to insure because of the lack ABS etc, obviously making it a higher risk car (not that they really are tbh) so this should lower your premium..

Didn't happen to get any injuries from this incident did you? I hit a lamppost back in 05 after some idiot in a van pulled out on me.. I got whiplash and a sprained wrist.. ended up getting £5k.. As advised, if you have legal cover you really should pursue the claim.. Nothing to loose what so...

HOW MUCH!!? Or am I just tight!? Willie Content

Thought a clean may have been nice! But seriously, that I feel is wayy over priced! I would expect to perhaps pay around £2400.. I am no expert what so ever in car values, but I wouldn't give that price a second thought!

    Want a 172, but ph1 or ph2????

Looks like the Ph1 are winning this battle :rasp: End of the day, it is entirely your choice.. this is just a little input from each side. IMO, a car is a car, from A to B with a bit of fun all cars from the ph1 to the cup are perfect for the job. Good luck with the purchase.. Don't forget of...

    Want a 172, but ph1 or ph2????

Its a reasonable consideration, I went from a top spec Pug 307 with every luxury available to the Clio with well.. A/C and PAS, haha. oh and lekky windows and mirrors of course :rasp: Driving experience was worth the sacrifice tbh though.. Like i said though, it is more personal preference...

    Want a 172, but ph1 or ph2????

No probs.. All the mod cons.. A/C, Xenons, Auto lights wipers etc, chassis is stiffer and so is the suspension, better driving experience all round

    Want a 172, but ph1 or ph2????

Ph1 FTW!... The Ph2 is drive by wire, (electronic throttle etc) causes lag (how much is uncertain, but nothing terrible!) Ph1 is direct cable.. pedal to throttle. no lag just pure power.. hence the Ph1 nickname of Ph-Quick Its a personal opinion mind, people do prefer the newer Ph2 because it...

Yeah I see your thread about having them fitted, look smart, mine are in need of a clean up, but can't be arsed at the moment! I think I may know the one you are on about.. My manger at work mentioned a place in Sidcup, apparently the owner use to have the fastest Ren 5 in the UK? Same guys...
