Re: cleaned/euro mk2 phase 1 (in the works)
Lovely looking car Tom. I'm glad I helped you with sourcing that bumper :rasp:
Can't wait to see if on, your plans for it sound awesome! Keep up the good work
Never been to a CS meet before, but did a few in previous cars.. You basically park up, and have a chat, get to know people.. Its pretty fun actually.. Really need to go to one of these meets (When its on a Saturday :rasp:)
Not to far from me mate, there's a few of us around the area, keep an...
Man I hate Sundays (as already stated in the Hop Farm thread lol) Perhaps give TheEvilGiraffe a PM or something, he has a rather tasty Ph1.. Nearly as nice as mine :rasp:
Ok I lie.. Mine is rather tatty! lol
Don't need to ask permission fella.. Just roll up :rasp:
Gutted I still can't make it. Sundays suck @rse for me! Booo! ;)
P.s. Where you located in the SE?
The real solution to this is to cut and solder the wires iirc, totally eliminating the plugs all together.. do a little search on here.. there are hundreds of these threads with the solution knocking about in the forum
Fiddly indeed but possible, but I have womenly hands haha..
Pretty simples really, unplug the cable from the lower part of the bulb (the bulb you need is a HB4 iirc, these are 'L' Shaped) twist the bulb and it will pop out.. Proper pain but like I say.. Do-able..ish
Wear latex gloves if you...
Recently purchased myself a Sony MEX BT3700U.. Got for to a bargain off fleabay but brand new they are around £180 (Halfrauds sell them).
It has Bluetooth (people say that the Sony suck for this and Alpine are better, IMO I think the Sony is sh!t hot really)
Plays MP3, ACC, WMA... CD, CD-R...
Just had a look all the top mounts, these are new due to having new dampers fitted, movement is visible but bouncing the car its only a little bit, can't tighten the nut though.. Needs to held from the underside I think.. any other suggestions :S
^^^ I got myself a Sony Head unit a while back and spoke to 'MT Audio' on here. Sorted me out a Connects2 unit that basically plugs into the Head unit and into the existing connection for the stalk controls, this basically makes the stalk controls work on the Head unit.. Nothing on the market...
How would be a good way to check if these are buggered?
Already thought of that.. I have wobbled the exhaust as much as poss but hardly any movement
Where would I be looking? Sorry, I know bits about cars, but I ain't greatly mechanically minded :rasp:
Hey folks.. Had an issue a while back and it seems to have cropped back up.. Spent nearly £700 on new parts, service, aux belt etc about 2 months ago, I originally had a knocking noise coming from around the rear of the car, this only seemed to happen when I was breaking and coming to a stop...
Tyres are always inflated to correct pressure, I check at least once a week..
As for trying to hard.. I don't see how slow speed on roundabouts could be considered :rasp:
Use to have a Ford Focus and plough through roundabouts with out a single slip using the P6000, had Paradas once and ended...
Don't do track, but as for road use, the Paradas I hated them, I had them on the rear for a few months and nearly lost control of my car umpteen times. switch to a set of Pirelli P6000.. car now sticks like sh!t to a blanket, to put it nicely haha
£15.. Ouch.. haha.. well all I can say is that these ones are pretty decent, they have done a good job over the last few days or torrential downpour lol
Haha.. I take it you have the normal solid wipers? they have a tendency to do this after a while, I would go for the flexi ones like I already said and linked you up to, can't go wrong really circa £6 a side :rasp:
^^^ Done pretty high speeds and they not moved a mm, stuck to the screen perfect, they do slightly miss at the end of the drivers side blade where it sweeps up the outside, but only ever so slightly, but nothing that is really noticeable tbh
Just ordered my fronts and rear wipers from http://www.wiperblades.co.uk got the flexi aero ones (own branded) and they are the dogs! After the last few days of rain I have had down my way, really put them thru their paces and IMO they work a treat.. and they are pretty well priced too.. £18ish...
I just stumbled onto this thread.. This is epic! You NEED to buy this motor, no two ways about it, do it or someone else will and will be laughing all the way home.. I have never seen one of these sell for less then 6k.. £1900! I'm shocked.. Well and truly!
