Just had a look and there is a small amount of play, I could hear a tapping in the hub. When I jacked it up I expected to feel more play but it felt like less. So there should be zero in out movement?
Sounds like the best option then, not too long a job on the drivers side I guess having done front springs before it's not much further than that is it?

Just wound my dip beam up by 2 complete revs, from 10 feet on my garage doors it went up about 3"is that going equate to much over full distance if you get my meaning. Been lowered on eibach sportlines and naff all distance on dip
I've just put 75w 80 fuchs sintofluid in. i'm sure the box loves it as what came out was dark brown but feels the same to me? To be fair I've only done a1/4 mile run
Yeah I filled until it dribbled out just I was on a slight slope maybe 3"lower on the front as my drive isn't level. May just check it on my parents drive
Just changed the gearbox oil on my 182, maybe it was slightly front end down but I only manage to get 2.7 litres back in it. Does that seem right, I realise the full 3.1 will never come out but I imagined I'd get more than that in
I suppose that makes them not too bad pricewise, from my experience on my old 172 though they were a bit quick to wear. Going to miss my exaltos probably
