I think not becuase after the performance figures it says date tested 26.2.97
they only include cars they have tested themselves in there road test
If you look at letstorquebhp website the figures they quote all be it calculated are very similar to autocar
Anyway what time do you reckon...
They are not Peugeots performance figure they are Autocars figures from what they did when they tested the car, maybe it was a bad 106 GTi they had but the facts are thats these are the performance figures when they tested it, i appreciated evo performance figures are quicker
Just been reading this weeks Autocar and it has the Williams perfromance figures in so compared them to a previous Autocar mag which had the 106 GTI in.
0-60 0-100 30-70 Top
Williams 7.7 20.8 6.9 130
106 GTI 8.2 23.9 7.7...
I applaud Renault for making the Trophy, but the 182 cup should never have been made, IMO it is just a marketing gimmick
If you want a 182 and want luxury go fo the 182 with cup bits
If you want sharper handling, slighlty better ride and slighlty better performance get the trophy.
The only...
We know it handles and rides better, but its not for everyone, id rather have the toys and the nice back seats, thats not saying its a bad car i would rather have the 182 with cup packs, i dont doubt for one min that it is faster than any other clio round a track
to be honest there is hardly anything in it between any of the 172/182 variants.
If you are behind one on the road then the difference will be so small you wont be able to overtake
no one has bit, the lad just said his opinion, its a fact some people will prefer more creature comforts and some the sharper handling thats why Renaultsport make both cars
There is nothing in it between the full fat 182 and the cup,
Autocar
182 full fat 0-100 17.0
172 cup 0-100 16.9
Evo
182 full fat 0-100 17.5
172 cup 0-100 17.7
Get your facts right
Same here mate, If I had the choice again then i would buy a full fat 182 with both cup packs, i would much rather have the extra toys and half leather seats, as i get nowhere near the 182s full potential on handling, the improvement just wouldnt matter to me
Would take the trophy over the cup...
I think Autocar is quite good, care to name a better mag and for god sake dont say topgear.
As for the 182 v Williams debate its no contest, the 182 is faster in a straight line, faster round the track and more comfortable, its called progress!
good time for the 182 it blew the Fiesta St away by 4 secs to 100
0-60 6.49
0-100 16.74
total time of around 21.5 secs, pretty impressive, just got pipped my the megange trophy and the golf GTI

no its not the Renaultsport site say:
182 - 1100kg
182 cup - 1090kg
182 trophy - 1075kg
in my brochure for the 182 it did say 1090kg for a full fat though, Renault cant even get the weights right
Just a quick point, why hasn the trophy got a quicker 0-62 time than the 182 cup?
the cup is 20kg lighter than a full fat 182 and is 0.2 secs quicker to 62, but the trophy is 15kg lighter than the 182 cup but has the same 0-62 time
I was in Worksop on saturday and opposite me at the lights was a V6 255 with a personal number plate VEE 6, anyone in here?
I was in an arctic blue 182 with cup packs
Out of curiosity as anyone had the K-tec turbo fitted to their 172/182a and if so what does it goes like?
