Has anyone found an easy and cheap soloution to removing the aircon pump? Just done a sear h but couldn't find a soloution. Never use air con any way only an idea at this moment in time. Any and all ideas welcome
Look in header tank for oil/ petrol contaminants, watch your water level (does it keep need topping up?) other symptoms are smoke out of your exhaust and the previous cream you mentioned, just keep an eye on things and don't let your engine temp soar if you find the gasket has gone.. I work for national tyres, that price prob included new valve, balancing, n disposal of old tyre, n there a crap make we sell em! You would be surprised how many people want budget tyres though! Always shop on Internet, black circles are pretty decent
What's the differance between 182 and 182 cup driveshafts? Can't be too much surely? Anyone ever measured them or tried to fit standard ones in thier cup?

How hard is it to change the drivers side drive shaft? I've done drive shafts before but it was a while ago, are there any pins in gearbox I need to hold in place/ remove? How much does a used shaft fetch? Will normal 172/182 driveshafts fit my 182 cup?

Raced my mates chipped golf tdi today, n I topped out at 140, ( I was trying to catch him after head start) I got k and n air filter n de cat fitted, not much but I expected more. Has anyone had more with the same basic mods?
Try and find some part number or marking, if u can or can't find them just ring the original manufacturer, I had to some chasing up about a turbo I had before on my five, n turbotechnics were a real help.Itl be cheaper than paying for labour or a rolling road
