come on guys see the sense here, how do you expect them to get all that power down without a spoiler like that! anything smaller and it might not even get off the end of the runway let alone get to its crusing speed of 32000ft
so everyone is clear, this can be the list so we know who is doing what
so the list should be as follows:
a.) camping
example member 001
b.) hotelling
example member 002 (travel lodge etc)
c.) day driving
example member 003
think this will give everyone a good idea of whats going on...
thanks fred great help, but i have already had someone take the belt off and found it was the idler at the bottom, but since the belt has come off and back on the noise has totally gone! bonus! so leaving it a while see if the noise stays gone as it could just have been a bit tight maybe?
i have a problem with the idler pulley on the aux belt side, this is part of the aux belt kit, renault did the five year service last year replacing the both belts as stated in the invoice. did not say anything of the belt "KITS"
now my question is are renault ment to do the kit, and if they...
UPDATE!!!
the noise isnt there when the engine is cold.... does this mean its gotta be the water pump?
please only people who really know there stuff reply as will be costing me big-time.
ok iv just realised im keeping my clio for the next 4 years till i get a R34.
and i have decided trying to get 200 bhp without turbo/supercharger or TBS is, well tbh, s**t!
so im going down the route of throttle bodies some time in the future and just want to know the pro's and con's. mainly...
is this a common problem?
i know it will be longer than 0.3 hours to take of the aux belt but jus to slacken and wak it off, no more than a hour! but 3 hours!!! from the offical dealer garrage!! bull
got a wurring sqeaking rotational noise and its pissing me off.
cambelt kit only done last year so i take it to renault and they say it will cost me 150 quid for them to find the problem, then if it is the water pump, anouther 500 quid!!! but if its the cambelt then its free! but these guys are...
not sure about the aux belt being done, i rang renault and told them a renault specialist told me it was coming from the cam belt! i said that it had been done at renault march last year and said "isnt there a warrenty on parts fitted here?" he then grummbled a little bit and jus said bring it...
as above, sounds like its comeing from one of the belts! had the cam belt kit fitted by renault last march. a local renault specialist said it soulds like a belt tentioner, or the water pump! sounds like a washing mashine noise lol?
any ideas?
this thread is regarding the rs tuner
after lots of quality after sale support and work from henk, my PA system works! now just wanna see if anyone can answer a few questions!
1.) whats the weight of the clio 172 non cup (KG)
2.)what would you add to the power at the wheels to give the power...
the rs tuner is said to be about 6-8 bhp gain
however it is half the price of superchip and its made by someone who does nothing but map renaults (i think) which means hes a specialist unlike superchips who, if asked, would map your kettle to get a better 0-boiling speed! not to mention, rs has...
lol. i have just remembered this thread was started by someone wanting to know somthing and we have fully hijacked his thread! anyway, bottom line is remap!
lol at the last 3 posts! well andyman can you think of any reason for this cos im lost now! like i said th only way i can see that you would loose that power is if the airbox was blocked some how, or if the remapping you had was set at a exact figure for fuel mixture, but then it wouldnt be very...
yep, remaps are just good for everything! exept for carbed v8s lol. however i agree with nearly all cars a remap does it alot of good, not just for BHP but for overall drivabilty! in the case of the 16bhp loss situation i never thought about the fact that the 197 isnt actually 197bhp however it...
wheres the best place relocate the CAFS to on standard box? i took out the acustic valve and extended the CAF down to the grill under the bumper of the car. if thats good which i think it is where would i put the other CAF?? (the one coming out the bottom of the box i belive?
then it must be somthing faulty as you can take the air filter off all together so ther is nothing holding back the flow and it should still run fine! in my saxo i had the filter fall off in the bay and didnt know for a week and it run fine. maybe this is a feature of the 197 but that wouldnt...
