cheers mate sounds like its defo coming from the front but now you mention it i think il giv it some revs with ma head to the ground. if it is the headshield is it a arse to get out, ie pinned in by the mani or will it jus be a few pins and swing it out?

hold on, are you all telling me that my near standard 172 with matched inlet, pannel filter and rs tuner will go passed 140? coz i thought the gear box max out ther?
already put picks up of new splitter but now iv got my super turismos on brought of beefy on the cs market place, shame on of the wheels is buckled and it said they wernt in the item discription so having to buy a new wheel but here is the pics anyway!

can this be added or does it have to be fitted from the factory, i know the controls are on the steering wheel but i could mount them somewhere else if i brought the buttons, does it need be programmed into that control box which can only be written to once?

like i said its most prob a air leak, a little hole somewhere in the induction side of things that when the power kicks in and it starts sucking harder it will suck air though and make a wistle, mine does it but it dont bother me, infact it sounds better imo
just fitted my meggi splitter today as well, also from scrappy but for £5 quid. well happy with it. gone for the fatter one. mines in dier need of a sanding and some back to black.

the bottom end in my ph2 is the same as the 8v 2.0 laguna engine from 98 iirc.
not sure about the ph1 but cant see them using a old bottom end for the ph2 but a newer one for the ph1? not 100% but could help.
