It doesnt matter where u earth it as long as its on a metal surface. if ur gonna do it on the boot floor try sanding a small area down to the silver metal and then screw it in there thatll give a definate connection.

no because although it says it cant touch the wipers thats basically to make sure its not too low. If the wipers go over it then it is classed as too low and will fail. an i hope ur jus puttin a sunstrip on an not actually tinting ur windscreen as that is illegal.

lol well he is one of them half a job kinda guys, starts something, cant be bothered and ends up rushing it, btw heres a pic of me boot now iv sprayed it and taken the wiper off, what ya rekon FMF ??

Its a pretty easy job mate and if u follow FM-AVA-696's advice ull be fine, i removed my rear wiper and managed to sand the hole, fil and spray follwoing this guys advice.
