If you dont use heat resistant paint then im guessing eventually the paint will crack and flake off under the intense heat.

Just wondered if anyone is interested in removing their rear wiper on a mark1 clio iv just finished doing it myself and its a pretty easy job. iv got step by step pictures from start to finish on how to do it so if any1 needs any help gimme a shout.

Cheers guys, i got a quote from my local bodyshop today an it came to £660 for a full respray with bodykit so i thought f**k the egg mark, sanded it down and primed it so just have to wait now ready for the respray. uv probs blone the speakers there pal, although theyd still work but make an awful noise, av a look at the wires behind the head unit and check everything is still plugged in cause it can still have power without being plugged into speakers.

I have just removed my rear wiper and finished spraying and now i need to know what to do with the tube thats has the sprayers attached to the end of it? is it best to disconnect it from the actual tank under the bonnet and seal up the gap or leave the tube there and just cut it & seal it??

does anyone know how easy it is to de badge a mk1?? iv tried lifting them up from outside but they dont seem to move. are they pinned down or something or do they just need a good rip to get em off. ??

Cheers for all the advice folks. the pictures that "al" posted above are exactly the same as the mark on my car. its pretty much identical so u have more of an idea. iv tried tar and glue remover stuff and that didnt work either, may just get it sanded down primed and respray it. cheers all.

I managed to fill a hole in on my mates car today with some body filler, sanded it down, primed it and then sprayed it and finally laquered it, it looks cracking and im wondering if its the same process to remove the rear wiper. was it really that easy to delock it??? what u do just pop the lock out of the hole and stick the 2p in??? was fillin in a hole in my mates car today and primed it up, weve done a cracking job at it so may have a go at delocking myne if its easy enough.

either way mate its unlucky what happened but by them pics ur fu***d. ud be best off just breaking the car down, well whats left of it and flogging the parts on here or ebay. Ull end up paying more for the repair than the cars worth.
