i'm suprised to hear that! i've hammered these for 20k now, which ones does your mate have? saying that, the bloke at kw did say that he thought that a v1/2 set wouldn't last long with the kind of use i put them through.
i've got a set of kw's, they are from the competition dept though. but i do know that kw can supply you with almost any length or rate that you might need.
interesting to read all this, i got a quote for a set of these to match the spec of what i have now, and as i remember andy got the right arse when i posted that his set cost more than 1k on top of the kw's.
they are road legal i believe, but as they are a competition tyre (control tyre for a bmw series) they will definately wear quicker than a pure road tyre, and be "exciting" in the wet!
get in touch with team think, they normally have an add on racecars direct, i know they had a spare 5 speed sadev they were selling for about the 2k mark
probably a bit more money, but i'd definalely go for a tracker. then if someone tries to trailer the car you will still get it back. my flatmate has one on his vee, and a couple of times when it has been at scott's and trailered he has had a call within 5 minutes.
hi there,
i just saw your thread about the manifold. if it's any use to you, i have a 172 mani sat in the garage you could have for £25?
i'm close to chippenham so probably not too far away.
cheers. doug
my mates vee has had the dash, steering cowel and engine cover flocked. and it looks absolutely awesome, completely transforms the car! there are some pictures up on the v6 forum.
iirc. there are quite a few different possible shafts. they have different numbers of teeth on, so be carefull what you end up with. probably the best thing to do is call matt black at renault specialist breakers.
^^ i'd agree with that. since the compression was raised on mine it idles like a bag of spanners, if i have to use 95 it sounds like it is almost stalling!
