mikes car is currently waiting for a new box, iirc the old one lasted about 5k. the other 300+ one from scott does get the power down ok, i've been out in it. but it has the entire ph2 rear setup, and the front geometry has been changed so there is some lock for when the back does break away.
do you mean the cam timing franx? that could be set up differently if you do have aftermarket cams, and then i guess it would be possible for renault to "incorrectly" set the standard timings.
i don't think you gain bhp with this. it is a torque mod. iirc it is to offset the loss of torque that the 10 bhp gain causes with the 182. a 4-1 manifold will give more ultimate power, but at the cost of torque.

for the last 6 months my flatmate has had a vee project on the go and it is almost finished now. last week it ran the above figures at owen developments, who are taking care of the mapping. curently it is running without the cam change too, so should show 10-15% more...

and before the uproar starts, i should probably point out that my kit was also custom built to match the axle weights of the car and is completely re-valveable.
to give you an idea of the cost of the gdi set. i have a £1300 set of kw competition coilovers on my car, when i called andy for a price of an equally specced kit he told me it would be close to £2500.
