it's been at mr glanders place. this is actually the reason that ray has ordered a 3.5 bottom end. i cant wait to see the torque figure once the cam change is sorted.
just to put the cat amongst the pigeons. my flatmates vee is almost finished, and ran 303 bhp with 241ft/lb at owen developments yesterday. and that is currently without the lower cam change!!
ask at citizens advice, you might be able to phone them? i think the fact that the driver claims to know you were racing, yet still pulled out on you contradicts himself. if so he has lied in his statement, which would definately give you an opening.
i'm just going on what has been said on...
you should go to citizens advice if you haven't already. obviously there is the thing about the driver behind being to blame in a rear ender. but you might find you have a case for due care and attention/careless driving from the lorry driver.
it has got to be worth looking into?
the thing that made me think about it was that you said the driver claimed you were racing with your mates. if he knew that then he must have been watching you in his mirrors. so, he is either lying or he deliberately pulled out on you? just a thought.
i probably have the wrong end of the stick, but aren't there issues with an alloy block and stainless manifold expanding and cooling at different rates?
last time we had a car launch at work, one of the journalists turned up in a nismo 350z. that was a couple of months ago though.
it did look pretty sick, but i still wouldnt...
this sounds like the potentiometer. if the tb has been changed, it's probably the pedal potentiometer. very common fault.
at least thats the cheaper of the two.
my mate has an exclusive that does this all the time, had a new alternator with no change. iirc, it is one of the leads or clips onto the alternator. it was driving him up the wall! i'm at work this evening, but i'll ask later and try to find out exactly what it was.
so, the head has come off.....
every exhaust valve has been bent into a z shape, the lifters and followers were knocked out of their mounts, and the exhaust cam has chips out of the side of each lobe! :dapprove:
so, just as it was due back, i've got to start looking for a whole load of new...
they might have been talking about the tdc sensor, but they are all changed from renault now, iirc the old one had a black clip, and the new ones have a blue clip. they both still fit though.
no worries, it's been running for a couple of weeks anyway. i just put an update on today. if you do end up doing it yourself, come back here and you can normally save yourself a fortune. i know of at least one good low mileage box available at the moment.
i think you might have a good chance there, with that sort of mileage it can only realistically be a manufacturing fault. all i can say is get on to renault, and also renault uk as well as the dealer, as lots of people seem to have had better luck from renault uk. they will probably try to avoid...
hello fella,
gutted to hear that! i know that renault exclude the clutch from warranty work, but you might get a goodwill gesture out of them. how many miles have you done? and is your car standard? i didn't even bother asking renault with the work i've done as they would have probably laughed...
