If its set the air bag off then you will need a new computer , matts place have a clip but they charge about the same as a dealer unless you sweet talk them. if there is a fault with the airbag system ie 1 has gone off then you will need to fix it before it can be programmed out ie you will need...

its a tw^t of a job the subframe is in the way of the bolts , ideally you will need a ramp and a bund extention bar 2 x 10mm bolts, get a new ring kit too for the join its only a tenner from ren get new bolts ring and springs in the kit. ill post a pic tomorrow of where you need to go

obviously you dont know about the moon cheese synchros of the 172 box, the second gear goes first . chris and nic's car has a new box due to this. try changing the oil its £30ish quid may calm it down a bit before taking the plunge for a grands worth of work
