an impact wrench air or electric wont give you the power of a breaker bar.
what you need is a breaker bar with a pipe on the end same when i removed the sub frame on my grans car few months back
the fronts will last its the rears that go pop and they are not too expensive/hard to change.
for the springs drop john a line at 2modified he'll give you a good price

i was told when i had my box built to change the oil every 12k miles. it doesnt brake down like normal oil as its not subject to the kind of heat that you find in an engine.

your new ones have bigger magnets they need more power to move them (creating more bass) which your headunit cannot supply . they need to be amped to get the best out of them
you can buy heated windscreens for most car's that are used in rally and clubman type events , nova, corsa. 205 etc they are expensive though.
ford dont have a patent on a heated front screen as you can buy new vauxhalls with them as an option
does it start ok ie: you dont have to put your foot on the gas to start it first time .
i would say its just the cold weather and the engine is compensating nothing to worry about unless its cutting out or reving wildly
