When I fitted one to my 172 I just jacked the front up as high as I could get it then held the splitter against the bumper, taped it on, drilled it in situ then used the 8 self tappers to attach it to the car.
New splitters don't come drilled, dealers just fit them the same way. The second...
Cheers mate. I'm looking forward to seeing yours at some point. :D
The p/x is low, and to be honest so is the price I'm selling it for but it's more than the trade in. The way things are going I'll be advertising it at the end of next week.
If anyone is interested drop me a PM.
I originally agreed a trade in, then someone approached me about buying the Trophy. He still really wants it but needs to shift his car first. He's been messed around by two people already.
If it's not sorted by the early Feb I'll put the Trophy up for sale. If it doesn't sell I'll resort...
You're probably right, but what everyone on here fails to realise is that Cliosport members are not the only people who buy Renaultsport Clios. We're a minority. There will be more racing blue on the roads I reckon.
Anyone who selects the colour of their car based on what other people think...
I might treat myself to one of those. Black will look good in the white Cup.
I can leave the Cliosport one in the Trophy then save having to get a crappy one to put the tax disc in for the next owner.
I don't like the silver wing mirrors. Plus Cup packs and no recaros is an odd choice, but then most dealers don't appear to spec recaros on their demos. I'd assume due to the cost and most normal people wanted comfy seats.
I'm getting plenty of driving joy in the Trophy still. I don't want to part with it, but we all have to move on. I'm sad, but I don't like 5* plates. I've only ever had 0* plates so I want to keep that up. Plus 5 - 7% is a lot when I worked hard to get the car at such a good price. Plus...
Welcome to CS.
I think a few of us found Clios the same way. When I bought my first one I had all but put a deposit down on a CTR and hadn't been able to get a test drive in a Clio. My misses hated the Civic and made me find a Clio to test drive. The garage gave me the keys and told me to go...
I've always used Zymol Titanium on the Trophy and been very happy with it. Listen to Rich though, he'll be able to recommend products which are as good if not better for a fraction of the cost.
Re: Jimbo you lucky scrote
See, and people think Renault don't care or pay attention to the community.
You really can't fault that at all.
Congratulations Jimbo. A great way to remember your brother.:approve:
Now you are getting somewhere. Post the full OTR price rather than just the price of the car itself. Then it will be a lot closer to what I've paid.
Cannock have a blue one in the window at £13,495. No idea if it has aircon but it's not got recaros or black wheels.
Not scary at all. Maybe I just don't have a fear of being killed in a car accident these days. lol It all happened very slowly and Steve just enjoyed every moment of it. We were both pissing ourselves with laughter. :D
I've yet to actually find anyone who's paid that though. Most cars around that price certainly don't have recaros and aircon. The best price I've seen people actually pay is a little less than that for a car with no options at all.
Even I've paid a little more than £12,500 with white, recaros...
I used all the extra track on the outside of Tower last time I was at Bedford. I can't remember how hard I was pushing round there, but there were a couple of laps when I had no choice but to use the extra bit.
SteveV6 on the other hand went in a little to hot, lifted and we did a 720 then...
